January Schedule
Posted by email on January 5, 2010V2K Members and Guests:
There are several important developments regarding the V2K schedule that you should make note of:
1. The meeting dates are being altered for January due to a special program opportunity. Our special guest will be Brenda Hack.
Brenda is an Anusara-Inspired yoga teacher who has been teaching for the past 4 years and has been a yoga student for 8. She conducts sessions for sports teams (including golf and cross-country) and is an active instructor through-out the Cedar Rapids community. We will have special sessions led by Brenda at the IKES on both January 10th and 17th. The practice of Anusara Yoga can be broadly categorized into three parts: Attitude, Alignment, and Action. Brenda will be applying these principles to some of our activities, including the Shooting Sports !!!! 2. Speaking of Shooting Sports, the January schedule is posted to the V2K calendar (www.venture2000.org.). These sessions are filling up fast — you must go to the EventBrite site to register and ensure that you have a spot. 3. The Chestnut Mountain event is also posted on the EventBrite site for your registration. Tom Laing will be coordinating this event for V2k members. I will be gone that weekend preparing for the upcoming Wilderness First Aid weekend. 4. Check out the videos posted at the V2K website (go to the webpage and click on the video button at the top). There’s a great new video there produced by Fiedler Productions. 5, Eighth graders are invited to all of our regular upcoming events, so come on out and give us a test drive. Most of our eighth grader emails have been added to the V2K distribution list. You will receive these notices unless you ask to be removed from the list.
